On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 4:00 – 5:30, Tackling T.I.N.A. will host its third and final public discussions of the semester. As part of an ongoing effort to challenge the dominant narrative that “there is no alternative” to capitalism, this free event focuses on the important role food and food movements have played in imagining alternative economies.

This week, we will discuss the relationship between food activism, environmental justice, and the economy. By focusing on a set of two texts and welcoming three special guests active in food-related projects locally, I suspect we will have much to consider on both a theoretical and practical level.

Readings available in advance here.
